Known for his infamous beat-boxing skills and tenacious dance moves, Ryan brings a fun and exciting dynamic to Vocalocity that only he could bring. Someone once said that without Ryan’s contagious sound Vocalocity would be just another barber shop quartet. He has worked hard at perfecting the art of beat-boxing and continues to win over audiences wherever his rhythmatic thumping can be heard.

What is your most memorable concert to date. Why?
Actually the concert I remember most is hosting the ICCA College Acappella Competition. We got to meet a lot of good groups; and how we got there was a bit of a miracle. We had our flight booked to leave the morning of the concert because of a gig we had the night before in Salt Lake City. We woke up on the day we were to leave and the valley was foggy and they weren't letting any flights leave. So as we waited for the fog to lift, but our flight was officially canceled!! After an hour of talking with agents, we found a flight that was directly to our destination and we were able to book a few seats on that plane. This must have been the smallest plane at the airport!! I've never been in one that small and the turbulence was so bad that I had peanuts land on me from the tray table of the person two seats in front of me!! We landed and were welcomed at the airport and all was well. Whatever it takes!!!
What got you into beatboxing?
Rahzel, Wes Carol, and Jeff Thatcher and even Biz Markie have always made me smile. I love the sounds and the creative juices that vocal percussion bring. I have always enjoyed making weird noises at random and some even come out of my mouth!!!
What music do you listen to? Favorite Bands/Artists?
I love live music and my taste runs the whole musical stratosphere. I will lay it down by genre:
Acappella

MOSAIC
Groove For Thought
Rock
Van Halen
Journey
Def Leppard
Country

And the list goes on and on and on..........
What are you most looking forward to for the remainder of the year?
Christmas! Cd Release. and every Concert that we are doing.
Who's the "class clown" of the group?
Ah ME? At least on stage.......There is something about a big man dancing around the stage and doing random impressions. The ladies love it hmmm!
What is the most rewarding part about being in Vocalocity?
There is nothing more rewarding to me than sharing music with our fans. They keep us going and going and going............
